ABOUT THE ARTIST

Anita West is currently teaching art internationally.  During 2008, she spent several months painting in Finland and completed her stay with an art exhibit at the Jakobstad Museum.

From 2004 to 2007 Ms. West traveled in the Arabian Gulf region, with extended stays in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, where she painted and taught art.

Anita West’s paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers in the United States and abroad.  Her award-winning artwork is in private and public collections, including those of the King County Arts Commission in Washington State and the City of Sinait, the Philippines.

Anita West attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu and received her degree in Fine Art from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington.
